In 2005 I went to ride during the Tour and happened on a small town with a giant poster of the real Gaul drinking from the fountain in &#039;59 - what a photo op! He was truly the &quot;Angel of the Mountains;&quot; my riding friends dubbed me &quot;Escargot de le Montagne.&quot;  I think Charly is still up there on Mont Ventoux pulling for all these new boys!</description>

His  face, in particular the shape of his nose, looks entirely different.</description>
